Sanni Talvitie – Violin

Sanni Talvitie is a Finnish violinist who graduated from Chetham’s School of Music and is currently studying at the Royal College of Music as an RCM scholar. 

 

She has participated in both national and international competitions, festivals and masterclasses, like the Bowdoin International Music Festival in the USA. Sanni has performed as a soloist with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra and TASO orchestra, lead the Chetham’s Chamber orchestra, RCM Chamber Ensemble and the RCM Opera Orchestra and she has performed in venues such as the Wigmore Hall. She plays a Charles Gaillard violin from 1867 which has been generously loaned to her by the OP Art Foundation.

 

Sanni is an experienced teacher of violin, music theory and general musicianship. She has worked with students of all ages, individually and in groups. For Sanni, it is important to spark the students’ own creativity, and help the students to explore all musical genres.
