Sally Aiko Dando - Violin

Spanish-born violinist Sally Aiko Dando started playing the violin aged 3. In 2012, she auditioned for Conservatorio de Música Julián Orbón to learn with Lev Chistyakov. In 2015, she moved to England, where she studied with Dunja Lavrova and Mark Derudder. Sally is the second violin in the Seion Quartet, whose highlights include playing for their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan, Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the State Banquet held at Buckingham Palace in June 2024. They are also winners of the RCM String Quartet Competition and have recently made their debut at the Wigmore Hall in June.
Sally is a graduate from the Royal College of music, where she studied under Radu Blidar and Lyutsia Ibragimova. Some awards which Sally has received include the BSO Young Musician 2018, the Young Soloist Award 2019, and the Rotary Young Musician Regional Competition 2021.
