Katie Bunney - Woodwind

Katie graduated St Catherine’s College, Oxford in June 2021 with a first class BA Hons in Music and is currently studying for a Masters in saxophone (principal study) and clarinet (second study) at the Royal College of Music. 

 

Katie has been a member of the National Youth Wind Orchestra (holding the Principal Saxophone chair), the National Youth Music Theatre, and is a member of both the contemporary music trio 'Equinox' and  Oxford's first all-female funk band 'Sisters of Funk'.

 

Katie has six years of experience teaching clarinet, saxophone, flute and music theory to both children and adults. She also works for the charitable organisation Soundabout where she makes music with people of all ages with severe and profound learning disabilities. Katie has just been appointed as a Benedetti Foundation teaching ambassador, reflecting her passion for music education in schools.
